A Staten Island man threatened a cop by mimicking a gun with his fingers when he was pulled over for a faulty brake light, law enforcement sources said.

Police stopped Jerome Patterson, 27, on Roxbury Street in Mariners Harbor at about 5:15 p.m. Feb. 6 to issue a summons, but he became irate, police sources said.

Patterson got out of his Hyundai, gestured a pistol and pointed his fingers to his temple, pretending to shoot himself, according to a Staten Island Criminal Court complaint.

“This is why you get shot out here!” he said.

Police searched the car and found cocaine residue in it, cops said.

Patterson was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and aggravated unlicensed operator.
