A man was clinging to life after being punched by a Queens driver who was angry about him pounding on his car, police said.
The victim, who may have been intoxicated at the time, went up to the driver’s white SUV on 29th Street near 41st Avenue in Long Island City and banged on the window about 1:15 a.m. Sunday, authorities said.
The driver got out of the car, got into an argument with the man and punched him in the face, police said.
The victim, 35, fell to the ground and hit his head on the pavement, authorities said.
He was taken to an area hospital, where he was clinging to life Monday.
The suspect drove away in his white SUV and was last seen heading north on 29th Street.
