An 89-year-old woman was hospitalized in critical condition on Saturday after being struck by a driver in Queens, police said.

The 37-year-old driver was exiting a parking lot on 48th Street at Northern Boulevard in Woodside at around 2:38 p.m. when he allegedly struck the woman, who was crossing the same street, an NYPD spokeswoman said.

His elderly victim was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, according to NYPD.

Police said the driver remained on the scene and an investigation is ongoing.
