The Staten Island woman who fatally mowed down two Park Slope kids stayed mum Thursday morning as she was escorted from her home in handcuffs by a pair of detectives who busted her in connection to the horrific crash.
Dorothy Bruns, 44, refused to answer a reporter’s questions as she was led out of her Targee Street home with her hands behind her back at around 8:45 a.m.
One detective carried a walker as Bruns, wearing walking boots on both feet, hobbled to a waiting black Ford SUV.
She was arrested on charges of manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, reckless endangerment, assault, reckless driving, and hit with a red light violation in connection to the March 5 crash that killed Joshua Lew, 1, and Abigail Blumenstein, 4, police said Thursday.
The kids were crossing Ninth Street and Fifth Avenue with their moms, including Tony award-winning actress Ruthie Ann Miles, when they were run over.
A Brooklyn grand jury voted to indict Bruns on a slew of charges, law enforcement sources said Wednesday.
Bruns is expected to be arraigned in Brooklyn Supreme Court Thursday afternoon.
