‘Drug cop’ court twist
A technicality forced the feds to drop their 2009 prosecution of an NYPD cop charged with scheming to break into an Inwood apartment in a search for a small fortune in hidden drug cash
But now Manhattan prosecutors have picked up the slack, winning a new indictment charging conspiracy and attempted burglary.
Shawn Jenkins, 43, a highway-safety officer with the 23rd Precinct in East Harlem, was being held last night in lieu of a $25,000 bond or $10,000 cash bail set by Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Lewis Stone.
