Last December, they’d giggled through their perp walk.

But two Fashion Institute of Technology roommates caught in a designer-drug sting were somber — even tearful — as they were sentenced to probation yesterday for felony cocaine possession.

“It’s the ugliest, most disgusting word in the entire language,” aspiring designer Mickenzie Dippenworth said in a presentencing statement, crying as she considered the word “felon.”

But Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Roger Hayes reminded her and co-defendant Christine Scafa, that the word “prisoner” is worse — slapping them with five years’ probation.

City Special Narcotics prosecutors had originally insisted the two 22-year-old women serve six months in jail.

Defense lawyers cried “entrapment,” and vowed to go to trial unless prosecutors backed down.
