An intoxicated man was arrested in Lower Manhattan when he jumped on the hood of an NYPD patrol car and cracked the windshield with his fist, authorities said.

Alexander Fathalla, 31, threw himself onto the police vehicle as it was near the corner of Hudson and Van Dam streets and punched the glass around 4:30 a.m.

The blow broke the windshield before cops immediately grabbed him and placed Fathalla under arrest.

He was charged with criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance, police said.
