This joint costs $50,000 per month, and the damn key won’t even work!

Dominique Strauss-Kahn cracked up reporters and his wife as he struggled for 10 minutes trying to open the door of the TriBeCa town house he is renting while fighting sexual-assault charges.

Asked by a French journalist what his state of mind was Tuesday night, DSK deadpanned, “It’s the state of mind of someone who can’t pull out his key.”

Even an American photographer was unable to get the key to work in the door of the Franklin Street town house.

Eventually, Strauss-Kahn and his wife, Anne Sinclair, got the door to unlock — but then were unable to get the key out.

“Either leave it there, or give them the key,” Sinclair quipped, referring to the reporters, who burst into applause and laughter.
