The city may be home to some of the world’s trendiest java joints, but it’s still blue-collar Dunkin’ Donuts that’s the top national retailer.

Dunkin’ has more shops here — 484, up by 18 over a year ago — than any other national retailer, says a new study. Starbucks was the third largest — behind Subway sandwiches — with 272 stores in the five boroughs, including 200 in Manhattan.
