A drunken-driving bust New Year’s Day closed three other cases on Long Island, officials said.

James P. Carroll, 20, of Massapequa was allegedly drunk in a 2005 Mercury at about 4:30 p.m. Friday when he hit another car.

He fled, but cops picked him up on DWI and other charges. He was later charged with stealing a car and crashing it into a house Oct. 24; robbing a 17-year-old boy of $300 on Halloween; and punching a man in the Massapequa LIRR station Nov. 2.
