A pomp-filled ceremony accompanied the rites when grassroots gladiators from the Dyker Heights Civic Association took the oath of office during an officer installation at St. Philip’s Church in Bay Ridge.

The induction, led by Kings County Supreme Court Justice Gerard Rosenberg, was part of the group’s monthly meeting at the house of worship, 80th Street and 11th Avenue.

Incumbent Fran Vella-Marrone was sworn-in as president.
