Millions of Metro-North commuters will suffer because of delays on the project to bring the Long Island Rail Road into Grand Central, MTA officials told the City Council yesterday.
Plans to bring Metro-North service to Penn Station will have to wait until the $8 billion project is complete, said William Wheeler, MTA’s director of planning.
The MTA’s target for East Side Access is now August 2019, a date that’s been pushed back several times.
