When 24 low-performing schools open this fall, they’ll be staffed with the same teachers and principals, city officials said yesterday.
The Bloomberg administration still plans to close the schools and reopen them with as many as 50 percent new staffers, The Wall Street Journal reported.
But after a series of legal defeats, officials conceded there won’t be enough time to do it for next semester.
They hope that replacing teachers and administrators will help the schools compete for $58 million in federal grants.
