An 83-year-old man was assaulted on the Lower East Side, police said

The elderly pedestrian was outside the Fine Fare Supermarket on Grand Street, near Lewis Street shortly before 8 a.m. Oct. 14 when a stranger bumped into him, cops said.

The senior walked away, but the predator followed and shoved the older man onto the sidewalk, police said.

The suspect ran off on Grand Street towards Madison Street, authorities said.

The victim suffered cuts to his right hand, left knee and head in the violent fall, authorities said.

The victim was treated at Mount Sinai Beth Israel and released.

There have been no arrests.

The NYPD released a photo of the suspect, who was sporting a beard and a bright red scarf and wearing a dark-colored jacket, dark-colored pants and red sneakers.
