An elderly man died when a car hit him as he crossed a Brooklyn street, police said.

A 2006 Nissan struck Joseph Hippole, 85, at the intersection of Linden Boulevard and East 95th Street. The crash occurred at 10:15 a.m. just a block from Hippole’s home in East Flatblush, cops said.

Hippole was trying to cross Linden Boulevard from south to north when he was struck by the eastbound car on the boulevard’s service road, police said.

Emergency responders rushed Hippole to Brookdale Hospital, but he could not be saved.

The 25-year-old driver remained on the scene, cops said. No arrests have been made.

The NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad is investigating the crash.
