A 75-year-old man died Saturday night when he was hit by a car as he crossed a Queens street, police said.
Cops responded to a 911 call around 9:18 p.m. and found the man unconscious after having been struck by a car as he crossed Jewel Ave. near 140th Street in Kew Gardens Hills.
The man, whose name was not immediately released, was transported to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in Queens where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The man was walking outside of the crosswalk when he was hit by an eastbound Nissan Sentra, police said.
The driver, a 30-year-old man, remained at the scene. No criminality is suspected, police said.
