An elderly man died weeks after a car struck him on the Lower East Side Tuesday evening, police said.
The unidentified 87-year-old was crossing Grand Street mid-block near Columbia Street when a Chevy Suburban plowed into him around 6:40 p.m. March 7.
The man’s body struck the SUV’s windshield before tumbling to the ground, cops said.
He died last weekend after spending the last two weeks in a local hospital, police said Wednesday.
