Two people were seriously hurt during a house fire in the Bronx early Sunday, officials said.

The blaze started in an apartment on Home St. near Bryant Ave. in Foxhurst around 2 a.m. and quickly spread throughout the three story building.

An elderly woman and a teen girl were removed from the burning building and were rushed to area hospitals in serious condition, officials said.

A firefighter also went to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, officials said.

The fire was brought under control about 90 minutes later.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
