An elderly woman died after being struck by a vehicle on the Upper East Side, cops said.
The woman, 86, was walking southbound on 5th Avenue and was in the intersection of East 65th street when she was struck by a tow truck that was making a left onto the street from 5th Avenue, cops said.
The woman, in cardiac arrest, was transported to New York Presbyterian Hospital where she was later declared dead.
Cops said the tow truck remained on the scene and no criminality is suspected.
