An 83-year-old woman was critically hurt after being hit by a car as the vehicle backed into a parking spot on the Upper East Side, police said.

The senior was crossing 3rd Avenue at 71st Street about 10:40 a.m. when the gray SUV barreled into her.

She was inside the crosswalk when she was struck, cops said.

The driver remained on scene and the investigation is ongoing.
