An elderly woman was killed when she was hit by a car while crossing a street in Chinatown early Tuesday, police said.

The woman was walking northbound on Canal and Elizabeth Streets around 4:05 a.m. when a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling westbound struck her, according to police.

The victim was rushed the New York Downtown Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival, cops said.

The 64-year-old driver remained at the scene and police do not believe there is any criminality at this time.

The identity of the deceased is pending family notification, cops said.
