An elevator mechanic was electrocuted this evening in a Midtown office building, authorities said.

The 39-year-old victim was found dead at around 9:30 p.m. inside 1290 Sixth Avenue.

“Two engineers found him,” said a building employee who didn’t want to give his name.

The engineers found the man on the ninth floor, the employee said.
