The mechanic electrocuted while working on a Midtown freight elevator was known to colleagues as a devoted family man.

Ed Bradley, 44, died Wednesday night when he touched a live transformer circuit at 1290 Sixth Ave. near West 51st Street, said a spokeswoman for the city Buildings Department.

“He was a good father — a good family man,” said a co-worker.

Bradley, a Staten Island resident and father of three, had worked for Schindler Elevator for five years, the company said.

The Buildings Department is investigating the incident.
