This takes truth in advertising to a whole new level.
British rocker Elvis Costello is urging fans not to buy his latest release, blogging that the boxed set’s $330 price “appears to be either a misprint or a satire.’’
He suggests music lovers, instead, buy a set called, “Ambassador of Jazz,’’ which contains 10 albums by singing and trumpet legend Louis Armstrong.
“Frankly,’’ Costello wrote, “the music is far superior.’’
And so is the $150 price.
