The receiver overseeing the beleaguered 9/11 law firm Napoli Bern is so fed up with partner Paul Napoli’s conduct he is seeking to fine him up to $1 million and have him thrown in jail.
Ira Warshawsky wants Napoli charged with contempt, claiming the lawyer has spent more than $500,000 in firm money without authorization.
“Paul Napoli will fight these allegations in court,” said Luke Nikas, Napoli’s lawyer.
A hearing in Manhattan State Supreme Court is set for Thursday.
