Bosses are asking job seekers to hand over their Facebook passwords — a request that experts say risks legal trouble.
“It’s akin to requiring someone’s house keys,” said Orin Kerr, a George Washington University law professor.
Facebook says it’s a violation of its terms of service for users to share passwords. Logging on to computer networks in violation of the terms is also against federal law.
