A patient at a Long Island hospital kicked his doctor unconscious, punched a security guard in the face and set his bedsheets on fire, police said.

Joseph Hores, 56, of Freeport, NY, was livid with staff at Nassau University Medical Center on Saturday because he was not receiving the treatment he was demanding, Nassau County cops said.

Hores lashed out from his hospital bed by kicking his 54-year-old doctor in the face — knocking him out cold. When hospital security rushed over to intervene, he punched a 44-year-old male officer in the face, police said.

Security then restrained the unhinged man to the bed.

Despite the soft restraints, Hores was able to reach into his back pocket and grab a cigarette lighter, which he used to ignite his bedsheets, police said. The flames were quickly put out.

The physician suffered a concussion, while the officer was treated for bruising.

Hores was arraigned Sunday in First District Court in Hempstead on two counts of assault, arson and criminal mischief. Bail was set at $50,000 bond or $25,000 cash.

It was not immediately clear why he was seeking treatment.
