Mayor Eric Adams on Tuesday stood by his decision to finish out his term in office and run for re-election despite the ongoing turmoil plaguing City Hall.

“I am going to serve my term and run for the election,” Adams told reporters during his weekly briefing at City Hall.

“I think when both sides of this come out, people are going to have a second look at this entire event that’s taking place,” he said, referring to the historic federal indictment charging him with bribery and corruption.

“You have this one-sided view of this, extremely creative. And I think my attorney’s are going to show both sides.”

His statements came as Manhattan federal prosecutors unsealed a criminal complaint against a former top official in the Adams administration, Mohamed Bahi, accusing him of tampering with witnesses and destroying evidence in the case against the mayor.

Bahi, who the mayor described as “thoughtful,” joined a number of high-profile resignations from the administration in recent weeks, the latest of which, First Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright, was announced Tuesday.

As members of Adams’ inner circle appear to drop like flies, Hizzoner insisted that the resignations were merely part and parcel of running the government.

He dismissed claims that the moves were related to the widening federal probe, and said he had a number of interested candidates blowing up his phone to take the now nearly 10 vacated positions in his administration.

“People leave the government. We have about 30,000 employees. Some people departed because they wanted to do something else with their lives… And some people I thought [weren’t] a good fit,” he said.

“Government is hard,” he noted.

Adams also claimed some officials aren’t “treated with the respect they deserve,” referring to an incident in which a reporter and photographer from The Post asked Wright about rumors of her resignation on a public street.

She responded by lunging at the photographer and reaching out to grab his camera, according to video of the incident.

Wright stepped out of her Harlem home in jeans and a gray hoodie Tuesday, shortly after she officially resigned.

“I’m very proud of the work that we’ve done,” she said before walking away.

Wright’s resignation came mere weeks after her longtime love David Banks was pushed out from his position as schools chancellor earlier than expected. 

Federal agents had showed up to the couple’s home in early September and seized their phones — part of a sweeping law-enforcement action targeting several top Adams staffers, sources have said.

Adams maintained that Banks had planned to leave months ago and the expedited exit — which sources said took the educator by surprise — had nothing to do with ongoing turmoil.

“Not one person that has decided to do something else with their life said, ‘Eric it’s because so much is going on,'” Adams said. “Not one of the people … stated that there’s too much going on around your case.”
