A young boy was seriously injured yesterday when his hand got stuck in the escalator at a Barnes & Noble on the Upper West Side, authorities said.
The boy, 3 to 5 years old, tripped as he was coming down the escalator at about 11:50 a.m. and his hand got trapped in the steps.
Firefighters arrived and freed the tyke. He was admitted to St. Luke’s Hospital in stable condition.
