The last-minute mystery witness prosecutors said will testify against accused Etan Patz killer Pedro Hernandez is another prisoner, defense lawyers said Friday.

“I want to know the substance of this statement that they claim my client made to this inmate,” demanded Harvey Fishbein, who is representing Hernandez.

But Manhattan Justice Maxwell Wiley said prosecutors are withholding the information “for safety issues.”
