The former owner of an “ethical” pharmacy on Long Island was busted Thursday for scamming the state out of $232,000, authorities said.

William Davis, 62, allegedly sent phony prescription invoices to Medicaid and the New York State Health Insurance Program and then pocketed the reimbursements, according to the New York State Comptroller’s Office.

The alleged crook even wrote a phony prescription using the name of a dead doctor for a payout.

Davis ran the scam out of Davis Ethical Pharmacy in Rockville Centre from 2008 through 2011, Nassau County authorities said.

Davis, who lives in Pennsylvania, was slapped with a felony grand larceny charge in Nassau County.
