The building that houses the Queens DA’s office was evacuated Tuesday morning after a man approached a security station and claimed he had a bomb, officials said.

The 49-year-old suspect approached a visitor check-in station in the Kew Gardens Road building and placed a white plastic bag on a sign-in desk, according to a security guard.

“He came in and slammed a white bag down on table in front of me,” the guard said. “He said, `This is a bomb, and everybody’s going to die in two hours!’”

Moments later, a pair of police officers in the lobby approached him to confirm the bomb threat, the guard said.

“He just stood there and said, `Yes,’ ” the guard said. “He never made a move to run or anything.”

After the suspect was apprehended, the building was evacuated for for nearly two hours.

The bomb squad was called and determined the threat was a hoax. Inside the white shopping bag was an attache case filled with a computer hard drive.

Sources said the suspect had made similar threats in the past. Another guard said the suspect pulled the same ruse there in 2008.
