A woman fired from her City College job for swiping $1,400 from a student also used her position to change an “F” she got from a professor to an “A,” authorities said.
Shalanda Tolbert, 40, who worked at the City College registrar’s office for four years, had been arrested and fired after being charged with stealing a student’s cash-stuffed wallet that a good Samaritan turned in to her for safekeeping.
In addition, Tolbert, also a student, used her insider status to gain access to the school’s computer system and change the “F” she got for a 2012 poli-sci course, sources said. Tolbert’s lawyer declined comment.
