A retired NYPD officer pleaded guilty Wednesday to drug charges for making deliveries for a Brooklyn narcotics ring.
John Avvento admitted in federal court that he carried drugs for a group that ran a “cocaine delivery service” in south Brooklyn.
The former officer was arrested earlier this year following a joint FBI-NYPD probe focusing on the ring.
He could face about two years in prison when sentenced by Brooklyn federal Judge Sterling Johnson, Jr., prosecutors said.
