Ex–Fleetwood Mac guitarist and vocalist Lindsey Buckingham was allegedly attacked by a woman described as a stalking suspect in Santa Monica on Wednesday.

Buckingham was at an appointment in the area when the attack happened, according to NBC4.

According to the Santa Monica Police Department and the Los Angeles Police Department, who are both working the case, the suspect found out about Buckingham’s appointments and showed up on site.

The California Post has reached out to representatives of Buckingham for comment.

Some of Buckingham’s most enduring hits include the fiery breakup anthem Go Your Own Way, the intricate acoustic masterpiece Never Going Back Again, and the quirky, high-energy soundtrack classic Holiday Road.

No one was injured or arrested in relation to the incident. The woman is known to Buckingham from past incidents, police sources told NBC. No arrest has been made at present.

A spokesman for the LAPD told the Post: “The Los Angeles Police Department’s Threat Management Unit is working with the city of Santa Monica to investigate this incident.

“To protect the integrity of the open and ongoing investigation, no further comment will be provided.”
