Former Paterson, NJ Mayor Jose Torres was sentenced to five years in prison Tuesday for instructing employees to work at a private warehouse on the taxpayers’ dime.

He is barred from public office and must pay the city $10,000 in restitution, the paper reported.
Three of his co-conspirators pleaded guilty and received three years of probation.
