The former chief operating officer of the city’s award-winning TV station was sentenced yesterday to 15 months in the slammer for engineering a $65,000 kickback scheme.
Trevor Scotland — who also produced NYC-TV’s popular “Secrets of New York” show — pocketed 80 percent of the proceeds from the billing scam, according to the Manhattan US Attorney’s Office.
His co-conspirator, Vincent Taylor, of VRT Multimedia, also pleaded guilty, and is awaiting sentencing.
Taylor, who owned a video-production company, was paid for work done in-house and kicked back the money to Scotland.
