The number of former welfare recipients who have been able to hold a job for at least a year fell from 75 percent in 2013 under former Mayor Bloomberg to 64 percent in 2015 under Mayor de Blasio, according to a Manhattan Institute study.

That drop comes as welfare rolls continue to climb — with the number of cash- assistance recipients up 7 percent since 2013 to 370,742 as of December 2015, the study shows.

The number of people receiving public assistance has remained stable when measured on an annual basis over the last nine years, a spokesman for the Human Resources Administration insisted.
