He was just resting his eyes.

A Rockland County man claims he was unfairly fired after his boss accused him of sleeping — even though the employer knew the man actually had a rare illness that caused him to close his eyes, according to a lawsuit.

Mark Brennan, 52, of Stony Point, worked for Haverstraw Transit for 18 years but developed cataplexy, a neurological disorder, only a few years ago, he claims in Manhattan Federal Court papers.

He is seeking unspecified damages. Haverstraw could not be reached for comment.
