City taxi officials peppered garages and depots across town with the sketch of a yellow-cab driver wanted for brutally raping a 26-year-old passenger at knifepoint.

“The TLC is working with its regulated industries to try to get the sketch out to as many taxi garages and for-hire vehicle bases throughout the city,” said Taxi and Limousine Commission spokesman Allan Fromberg.

“That we are doing very aggressively.”

The hack — believed to be in his early 40s and about 5-foot-8 — tied up and raped a woman who hailed his cab in Williamsburg last Friday after a night at Public Assembly, a bar and music venue.

Following the attack, many women said they’d take extra care in taxis.

“I’m terrified,” said Maria Ledesma, 39, of Williamsburg.

“You always think you can get into a cab and you’ll be safe. But that’s not always the case.”
