An aggressive panhandler dressed as a Buddhist monk was busted when he tried to shake down a plainclothes Amtrak cop in Midtown, authorities said.

“Give me $20 for my temple!” the bogus Buddhist said as he reached into the cop’s sweatshirt outside Penn Station at about 9:35 a.m. on Oct. 28.

The officer refused and told the beggar that he is a cop, Amtrak police said.

After the panhandler reached back into the cop’s shirt and asked for more money, he was arrested, authorities said.

Video of the arrest shows two plainclothes Amtrak cops and two uniformed Amtrak officers wrestle the monk to the ground before hauling him off in cuffs.

The beggar, Xueshuang Ding, 63, was hit with jostling and fraudulent accosting charges, police said.
