It took a fire engine and a chain saw to do it, but animal-control officers have freed a falcon stuck in a tree in northern New Jersey.

Authorities say the adult predator had been found Tuesday afternoon hanging upside down in a tree outside Park Ridge HS.

An animal-control officer climbed a firetruck’s ladder to reach the bird.
