A woman suffered minor injuries when she was struck by glass that fell from a Midtown hotel on Thursday afternoon, officials and witnesses said.

The pedestrian was hit by shards of glass from a broken window of the Double Tree Metropolitan Hotel about 2:50 p.m. as she walked on East 51 St. near Lexington Ave., witnesses said.

Emergency personnel took the woman to Cornell Hospital to be treated for a cut on her nose.

Representatives from the hotel declined to comment on the accident.
