Family and friends attended a wake on Thursday for the man who was fatally stabbed in front of his wife while they were walking on a Brooklyn street.
The mourners gathered at the Cassese Funeral Home in Ozone Park, Queens, to remember George Carroll.
The 42-year-old playwright was stabbed last Friday after a man hanging out on the street in Greenpoint picked a fight with him, police sources said.
Carroll’s widow, Christina, did not comment as she walked into the service.
A funeral will be held for the Texas native on Friday at the Carmelite Monastery in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn.
