The slain daughter of a high-ranking Brooklyn DA’s office staffer was remembered today by her family as “loving mother, sister, aunt and daughter,” who was “friendly to every person.”

“She can never be replaced and never be forgotten,” the kin of Daniella Mannino, 34, said in a written statement. “Our love for her, will live forever, as she will always be remembered in our hearts minds and spirits.”

Mannino’s butchered body was found Tuesday in the Gravesend home of Brian Sohtz, 36, who Mannino’s family described as him as someone she had once dated.

“She was with him less than a year,” her brother, Michael Mannino said at the family’s Bensonhurst home.

He and other family members did not know how long they had been broken up after their relationship – or why she went to Sohtz’s home.

According to police, Mannino – who family said was a paralegal and mom of a 12-year-old daughter – went over to Sohtz house Monday to break off their relationship. She wound up being stabbed to death.

“Our family has suffered an unimaginable and tragic loss,” the clan said in their statement. “In the midst of this, we keep in our hearts and in our minds how Daniella had touched and changed the lives of so many people.

“She was very friendly to every person she came in contact with. Daniella always did her best to offer genuine advice and lift up spirits. Her daughter was the most precious gift of her life.”

When asked how he was dealing with the loss, Michael Mannino said “As best as can be expected.” Her sister, Theresa Goldyn, said that the slain woman’s daughter was doing “the same.”

Sohtz has been charged with second-degree murder. He allegedly is known for his violent temper, including a 2006 incident in which he pleaded guilty to misdemeanor menacing and weapons possession after a fight with his wife in Patchogue, LI.

Mannino’s dad Joseph is the chief of office services for Brooklyn DA Charles Hynes.
