A 1-year-old girl was attacked and seriously injured by her family’s pit bull inside their Queens home, police sources said.
Kathy Rojas was playing with the dog at her family’s first floor apartment on 102nd St. near 34th Ave in Corona when the dog suddenly bit her face around 4:30 p.m. Monday.
The girl was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital where she underwent surgery for her injuries, police said. She is expected to survive.
Cops removed the dog from the home and turned it over to Animal Care and Control.
