Russian figure skater Andrei Lutai has been arrested and jailed in upstate Lake Placid for stealing a car and driving drunk, police said yesterday.

Lutai, 23, who finished ninth in the figure-skating world championships in March, was stopped by police at about 11 p.m. Sunday in Lake Placid, where he had earlier placed 10th in a Skate America event.
