A Brooklyn woman whose housing-project apartment had no electrical power because of a busted fuse box was killed early yesterday when fire ripped through her candlelit home, authorities said.
The 53-year-old sixth-floor resident of 857 Schenck Ave. in East New York was pronounced dead at Brookdale Hospital.
A teen who had been staying in the apartment woke up neighbors at 4:15 a.m. to warn about the fire.
The woman had complained about the situation to building management.
Housing Authority officials declined comment.
