One man is dead and five others were injured during a fire inside a Staten Island home, cops said.

The fire erupted inside apartment 2B around midnight at the Mariner’s Harbor Houses on Brabant Street, officials said.

A resident ran to her window and yelled down to a relative who was standing on the sidewalk below, sources said.

The family member along with his friend, Caleb Wilder, 37, rushed into the apartment to help extinguish the flames, sources said.

When FDNY arrived Wilder was unconscious and unresponsive lying outside the building. He was rushed to Richmond University Medical Center where he died, police said.

Sources said the man may have gone into cardiac arrest.

Five others suffered minor injuries, officials said.
