Fatal-joyride teen nabbed
The Bronx teen who killed a 12-year-old neighbor during a disastrous late-night joyride in his mother’s SUV was arrested yesterday after a DNA match, sources said.
Anthony Pontis, 15, left the evidence in the 2003 GMC Envoy that he skidded off Baisley Avenue and smashed through a chain-link fence in the early hours of Dec. 29. The car then flipped on its side and landed in the breakdown lane of the Bruckner Expressway.
His 12-year-old passenger, Kaitlin Booth, was killed in the crash. Pontis was charged with criminally negligent homicide.
